I purchased and read every "get into medical school" book available on amazon, and this by far was the most useful. It contains basically a daily workout program to prepare months in advance of an interview. I followed along carefully every day, taking time to ponder in between chapters. I really found it useful. Most of my interviews were standard, but there's always that 20% that can catch you off guard. This book prepared me for most of that.Product details

Nailing the Medical School Interview A Harvard MD’s Comprehensive Preparation Strategy eBook Suzanne M Miller Reviews
This book is a pre-med student’s dream. From the very beginning the author debunks online pre-med forum myths and reassures readers with the confidence that a career in medicine and pre-professional counseling has awarded her. She outlines a series of steps for readers to follow in preparation for their interviews, and provides real, practical advice for experienced and novice interviewees alike. With a focus on strategy in every chapter, she gives readers literally hundreds of questions to think about, practice, and polish. This book makes students feel confident and excited to be going into the medical school interview. A great read!
If you are not already convinced by the fact that this book was written by a Harvard pre-med counselor, try answering "Is it ever justified to lie to a patient?" with more than just one sentence while showing that you have analytical skills. This is hard to do and if you haven't already tried googling this question, you will find hundreds of long and confusing papers and forums.
This book teaches you the strategies on how to answer that question and hundreds of other tough questions ranging from the dreaded "tell me about yourself" to public health topics. Also if you're like any other busy pre-med, this book is even formatted week-by-week so you're not overwhelmed trying to learn all of the health care and ethical terms.
This book really is a must-have for all pre-meds. I started out barely having any knowledge on health care and I struggled so much with answering "why do you want to be a doctor" without sounding like every medical school applicant; after reading this book and studying the tools provided, my biggest stress now for my future interview day is remembering to make sure I don't have food stuck in my teeth.
I love this book. It is very helpful and provides some very practical tips!
FANTATSIC!! Best book out there on med school interviews hands down. Buy it and feel prepared.
Incredibly helpful book! With over 300 real-world interview questions, Nailing the Medical School Interview played a key role in my interview prep.
A total lifesaver! Do not hesitate to buy, even if you are on an accelerated schedule, as the book contains almost everything you need to know. Although the it is designed for an 8-week preparation, it easily adaptable to whatever timeframe you need. I had a surprise interview invite, and was able to get through the book and feel prepared in about 3 weeks. I used my phone's App as well as the Cloud Reader.
In particular, I appreciated the directed reading on ethics and policy, since I came in with almost no background whatsoever, and it would have been extremely time-consuming for me to find verifiable objective information otherwise. Although, coming in, I was most stressed about these topics, it ended up being the most enjoyable part of my preparation. Thank you, Dr. Miller!
I almost never review products, but I feel obliged to in this case. I am a recently accepted MD re-applicant to medical school. Much of my success this cycle was a direct result of the practice methods and questions outlined by this book. I found Dr. Miller’s tips on MMI strategy particularly helpful, as I found structuring my answers in a coherent way very difficult. You will still have to put in the work and practice- as prescribed by this book- but I found that I had a leg up on my fellow applicants by virtue of Dr. Millers insights. If you feel lost, intimidated by interviews, or if you are a reapplicant, I would absolutely recommend this purchase.
